International Identity Card

The International Student Identity Card (ISIC), International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC) and International Youth Travel Card (IYTC or GO25) are a must have for traveling students, teachers and youth. All three cards are administered by the International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC), an association of student travel organizations from around the world, and are endorsed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). All three ID cards cost $22 and are issued at the HI Travel Centre.

ID Card Benefits and Service

•  International recognition: Endorsed by national and international organizations, the ISIC, ITIC and IYTC (GO25) cards are issued in over 100 countries around the world. Cardholders get immediate recognition of their special status and access to any privileges, discounts, or concessions this status brings.

•  Reduced Airfare: Cardholders are eligible for special reduced student, teacher, and youth airfares on regularly schedule airlines. (Note: fares are subject to availability and some airlines do have age restrictions.

•  Insurance: Cardholders are covered while traveling outside the U.S. by basic accident and sickness insurance.

•  24-hour Traveler's Assistance Help-Line: Cardholders have access to a toll-free help line for medical, financial, or legal emergencies while traveling outside the U.S.

•  Discounts in the U.S. and Abroad: ISIC and ITIC cardholders receive discounts on transportation, accommodations, activities and attractions, museums, and other services. IYTC (GO25) cardholders receive discounts on tours and accommodations, as well as reduced or free admission to select cultural attractions and historic sites.

Students age 12 & over currently enrolled for the academic year 2006-2007 at an accredited institution and matriculating towards a diploma or a degree. (Continuing education and language school students are not eligible)

1. Photocopy of school ID showing validity for 2006-2007
OR
2. Photocopy of your transcript/report card for 2004-2005 academic year.

ITIC

(Teacher)

Teachers or faculty teaching for the academic year 2006-2007 at an accredited institution

1.Photocopy of your faculty ID showing validity for 2006-2007 academic year
OR
2.Letter on school stationery from department chair or school principal verifying current faculty status

IYTC

(Youth)

At least 12 years of age, but under 26 years of age

1. Photocopy of a valid driver's license, birth certificate, or passport showing you are under 26 years of age at the time of purchase.

ISIC and ITIC cards are valid from September 1, 2006– December 31, 2007

IYTC (GO25) Cards are valid for one year from date of issue
