Faith Leaders - Encourage Members in Physical Healing

Faith leaders play important roles in motivating members to increase activity.

For faith based organizations, here are some ways you can help:

  • Incorporate exercise breaks into church meetings

  • Encourage members to make time for a minimum of 30-minutes of physical activity every day

  • Be a good role model

  • Talk about exercise during worship and events

  • Encourage less snacking and healthier food choices at social events

  • Encourage members to follow recommended activity and nutrition guidelines that encourage healthy food selections and moderate portion sizes.
